Upgrade from Operator Panels to Touch Screens

Converting to PC based touch screens reduces the inputs and outputs required for PLC's and it allows for simple control system expansion and reorganization when needed. From a safety perspective, controls can be tagged out from the touch screen and pictured as tagged out.

Graphic touch screens can also display additional information not possible with traditional control panels. Summary screens show all conveyor amperages, high current warnings, and shutdown alarms. Conveyor colors can be set to change when a commodity is on the conveyor, and the graphic displays can show the location of sensors and gates.

Comprehensive temperature monitoring is also available. All probe temperatures can be recorded at the same time and compared with those from the previous day. The temperature report uses red numbers to indicate potential hot spots, and specific temperature probes can be selected and displayed for closer observation. Also, during a cold season, conveyors can be set to start and stop automatically to prevent freezing.
