ACS will build your control panels, or design and build a complete
control system for your process. From panel switches to PLC's,
ACS does it all.
Control Systems
Here are two recent examples of control systems we have designed.
A local grain elevator installed temperature probes in their storage
silos. ACS designed a PLC temperature monitoring system to display
temperature profile screens of each silo. The monitoring system
includes reports that automatically run every shift, and alarm
set points for alerting the operators if the temperature gets
too high.
A metal plating company installed two new plating lines. ACS designed
a PLC control system to manage the I/O from the plating process,
including plating bath voltage and amperage measurements, and
stepper motor speed outputs. The control system was network-based
and also recorded complete process data to a memory card.
Control Panels
Control Panels are used for simple process control functions,
and they typically involve a combination of switches, indicator
lights, potentiometers, and digital or dial readouts, to name
just a few. To the left, a speed control panel and a PLC based
panel are shown. For a look behind the switches, there is also
a picture of a typical back panel for an automated machine.
