Piston Manufacturing
ACS manufactures two types of machines for the metal casting
industry, but these machines are often combined into one unit
to conserve floor space. The air quench cooling unit moves the
newly cast pistons slowly over several air streams cooling them
to the required temperature.
The Piston Cropper removes the gates from between a cooled
set of pistons. The gate is removed by a scrap conveyor, and
the pistons are transferred to the next operation, typically
by an escape chute.
Furnace Loading Systems
The Loadmaster Furnace Charging System feeds a programmed amount of
metal onto a furnace-feeding conveyor. The metal is supplied from a scrap
bin, a pallet of ingots, or a combination of the two sources.
