One of our specialties at ACS is the creation of product testing machines. Testers will typically belong to one of two categories: product qualification testers or 100% production testers.
Product Qualification Testers
Qualification testers are used to verify representative sample parts made by a process.
The test might be destructive, as with a hose burst tester or the steering wheel fatigue tester. The test could also consist of multiple functions, such as testing a rubber seal for both pressure and vacuum characteristics.
Some recent product qualification testers have been built for automotive cables, automotive hoses, electric motors, thermostats, steering wheel structure, mirror assemblies, and sewer gaskets.
Production Testers
ACS builds production testers for processes that need 100% verification of product quality. These machines can be built for single parts, but will usually have multiple stations where the same test is run simultaneously on several parts. For applications that call for several tests, the tests are performed in a sequence and advanced through the test stations with an index table.
Production Testers have been built for products like automotive steering wheel switches, hose assemblies, temperature compensation valves, and poppet valves.
